The Saturday Shopper is heard on WNTA every Saturday from 10AM until Noon. Join Dean and Michelle as they broadcast live from an area business with special weekly deals from local stores and restaurants. Each week they slash prices on gift certificates so you can save when you go shopping or go out to eat! The Saturday Shopper has deals on services from local vendors as well! You can save money at your favorite restaurant too! Just tune in on Saturdays and get a deal with Dean and Michelle.

Did you buy something from The Saturday Shopper?
You have two weeks to pick up your item or it goes back up for sale. We request that you also attempt to pick up between 10a-3p on Tuesdays. We know this doesn't work for all but if you could try, we would greatly appreciate it. Our offices are a whirlwind of activity! Maverick Media located at 2830 Sandy Hollow Road, Rockford IL.

Learn more about Michelle
In December of 2000, I heard a radio ad for a Sales Assistant and decided, “Hey, I can do that!” I sent in my resume and on January 2, of 2001, I started my radio career. In 2003, I became the Promotions Coordinator and in 2005, the Promotions Director for all four of the Maverick Media of Rockford stations.
A little over two years ago, Dean Ervin arrived at our station and brought with him the idea of the “Saturday Shopper.” Dean can tell you the story better than I can but he wanted to do the show and thought I might like to join him. I’ve never been on the air prior to this but I now LOVE being on the air and love meeting all of you.

- I was born in Sterling, Illinois… moved to Texas… came back to Sterling in my teens
- I am married with two children
- I love to read (when I can find the time), I love movies and movie soundtracks, and White Sox Baseball (I know you are now rolling your eyes at my team choice)
- I have one older brother, Tim (who I still call “Timmie”), a sister-in-law, Heather, and two beautiful nieces, Ashley and Sydney
- I am a huge fan of history, thanks to my parents. My loves are Ancient Egypt, World War II and the Holocaust, and the Cherry Mine Disaster
- I watch Ghost Hunters with my son and I also enjoy How I Met Your Mother, The Tudors, Big Love and The Office
- I LOVE Mexican food, lobster and my favorite snacks are edamame and sunflower seeds
- I am named after the Beatles song, Michelle, and I grew up thinking my parents knew them
- I love music! I enjoy Prince, Patsy Cline, Black Stone Cherry, Kelly Clarkson and The Beatles
- I am full of random useless information!
