Members Alliance Credit Union Robbery

On Wednesday, 07/28/10, at about 4:51 p.m. Patrol Officers and Detectives from the Rockford Police Dept. responded to the Member’s Alliance Credit Union, 6951 Olde Creek Rd., in reference to an Armed Robbery. When they arrived, Officers learned that a black male suspect had entered the credit union and demanded money from the tellers. The suspect implied that he had a weapon, although none was displayed. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of currency the suspect fled the bank. The suspect then entered a tan four door vehicle, driven by a second black male suspect, and fled the scene westbound on Olde Creek Rd. The vehicle, which had been reported stolen earlier, was recovered a short distance away.

Detectives from the Rockford Police Dept. and Special Agents from the Rockford office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are conducting a joint investigation into the robbery. Based on the information gathered to this point the suspects are described as follows:

#1 Black Male of Unknown Age
5’10 to 6’2 230 lbs. with a large build
Red Shirt or Scarf over face / Black Long Sleeve Shirt / Dark Pants
