Winnebago County Sheriffs Police are investigating a two car crash at U.S. 20 and Keith Road near Pecatonica. Police say a southbound car collided with an eastbound vehicle early this morning . Three people were injured. Police say at least one of the injuries is considered life threatening. U-S 20 is open to traffic at Keith Road.

The U-S Air Force Thunderbirds headline Airfest 2010 this weekend at the Chicago/ Rockford International Airport. The Thunderbirds are a six aircraft demonstration squadron featuring F-16 Fighting Falcons. Pilots perform approximately 30 manuevers showing off group and solo flying. Some of the other attractions include the U-S Army Golden Knights Parachute team, the Marine Corps Harrier Demonstration team, and the Air Force Strike Eagle Demonstration team. Tickets to the Airfest are $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12. All parking lots are cash only. Preferred parking is $20. General parking is ten bucks.

Rockford Police investigate an armed robbery to a northwest side sandwich shop. Police say two suspects robbed the Subway Restaurant, 3009 Rockton Avenue, shortly after 9 o'clock Thursday night. Police say one of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The suspects were given some cash and then took off. No one was hurt. One suspect is described as a black male, 5'10, and approximately 40 years old. He was dressed in a white t-shirt and dark pants. Witnesses say the race and gender of the second suspect wasn't clear. Two teens are dead and a third person is critically injured after becoming trapped inside a grain bin in Mount Carroll Wednesday. The accident occurred yesterday morning at a bin owned by Consolidated Grain and Barge Enterprises. Authorities believe a teen employee fell into the bin and two other employees went in after him. The deceased are identified as 14 year old Wyatt Whitebread and 19 year old Alejandro Pacas. 20 year old Will Piper is being treated at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. Rockford Police are investigating an armed robbery to an east side pizza place. Police say a man with a gun robbed Domino's Pizza, 3750 East State Street, shortly after 9 pm Wednesday. No one was hurt. Police describe the suspect as an Hispanic male in his mid to late 20's. He's 5'10 with a thin build and bushy eyebrows. He was dressed in tan pants, a white shirt, and tan baseball cap.
Police arrested a suspect who broke into Greater Calvary Baptist Church, 3216 West State Street, early this morning. The suspect's name hasn't been released yet.

On Wednesday, 07/28/10, at about 4:51 p.m. Patrol Officers and Detectives from the Rockford Police Dept. responded to the Member’s Alliance Credit Union, 6951 Olde Creek Rd., in reference to an Armed Robbery. When they arrived, Officers learned that a black male suspect had entered the credit union and demanded money from the tellers. The suspect implied that he had a weapon, although none was displayed. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of currency the suspect fled the bank.
